The NRAEF understands the importance of scholarships and supporting students and educators. We offer a variety of merit-based scholarships to students who want an education and a career in the foodservice industry as well as professional development scholarships for restaurant and foodservice educators.

GRI/Giacomo Bologna Scholarship
The NRAEF and Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani (GRI) will award up to 6 students with an all-expense-paid trip from New York City to Italy.
The scholarship enables students to travel to Italy for a week and participate in various culinary and restaurant industry related classes and tours. During this program, students will be offered a first-hand experience in Italian winemaking and cooking. Each year, GRI organizes a unique experience for the students that highlights a region in Italy.
GRI is a not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting knowledge of authentic Italian food and wine through education.

Al Schuman Ecolab Undergraduate Entrepreneurial Scholarship
This was established to award scholarships to current qualified undergraduate students who are committed to their education and careers in the restaurant and foodservice industry while demonstrating a strong entrepreneurial spirit. This scholarship is for students who attend a select list of schools. Please read the application instructions to see if your school is on the list.

Coca-Cola Salute to Excellence Scholarship

Professional Development Scholarships for Educators
This scholarship is for educators who are attending an NRAEF Summer Institute or engaging in a hands-on industry work experience as part of their requirements to earn a Certified Secondary Foodservice Educator Certification.

You may be eligible for these scholarships if you are or will be a high school graduate or GED graduate.
High School/GED Graduate/ProStart Students
This scholarship is for students who will be first-time freshmen including graduating high school seniors, GED graduates and high school graduates enrolling in college for the first time.

Rachael Ray's Yum-o! Organization Scholarship
Rachael Ray's Yum-o! Organization is proud to support students with a desire and passion for a career in the foodservice industry. If you are a 2011 high school graduate and will be enrolling in college in 2011/2012 school year as a first-time freshman you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. To be considered, you must complete the scholarship application packet for High School/GED Graduate/ProStart Students. You only need to complete one scholarship application packet to be considered for either a NRAEF Scholarship or the Rachael Ray's Yum-o! Organization Scholarship. Please do not submit more than one application packet.
